Obisidan is basically Inxile but 100 times better. Inxile earned as well more money from the Torment's crownfunding and they still finally used the engine developed by Obsidian for Pillars of Eternity.to produce a shorter and worse experience. They made Bard's Tale 4 which was hot trash like yikes. That's why we see Brian Fargo complaining about Larian and Obsidian rising the standards of AA games too much, he knows that he can't compete with them. Wasteland 2 is a mediocre game too and the weakest of the first wave of isometric CRPGs revival games. It's combat is so bad for a 2018 game, like really bad. Even it's gameplay leaves much to be desired. It's got mediocre writing and awful pacing. Torment : Tides of Numenera was such a bad disappointment and shouldn't even be considered as a successor to the godlike Planescape Torment.
